The best way to deal with disease is not to treat it but to prevent it, and some strategies are rather simple. For example, experts agree that good personal hygiene is vital to preventing the spread of disease. Another critical component is hygienic cleaning of environmental surfaces, especially those that come into direct contact with skin. In fact, the more we understand about disease and how it is transferred, the more clear the importance of cleaning becomes. That's why so many environmental scientists consider it the first line of defense against infectious disease.

However, not all cleaning tools and methods are alike and not all achieve healthy results. It's important to understand the dangers of cross contamination and the tendency for many tools and processes to actually spread the problem. In fact, a growing number of environmental scientists maintain that it's actually better to not clean than to clean using ineffective methods.

Kaivac's Strategy: Remove it and Prove it

Kaivac believes that cleaning is the removal of all unwanted soils and substances, including the invisible realm of microbes, if it is to protect health. Regardless of whether cleaning a restroom, kitchen, classroom, or surgery suite the goal must be to remove the maximum amount of contaminants, both seen and unseen. Then, validate it through rapid hygiene measurement technology.

Products:

KaiBosh™ is an EPA-registered Hospital Use disinfectant that's effective against MRSA, Norovirus, Influenza (including Swine Flu), AIDS/HIV virus and more.

*Currently, there is no disinfectant that has specifically been tested in labs against Ebola and Enterovirus-68. However, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has found that disinfectants that are effective against Norovirus, like Kaivac's KaiBosh™, are recommended for environmental surfaces in rooms of patients with suspected or confirmed Ebola virus infection. Please see the CDC website for more details.

KaiVac® No-Touch Cleaning™ systems combine automatic chemical metering and injection, an indoor pressure washer, and a powerful wet vacuum into an integrated system, which is proven to be up to 60 times more effective in reducing bacterial contamination than mops.

KaiFly™, the squeegee-based flat surface cleaning system, rapidly removes potentially harmful bio-pollutants from desktops, tabletops, stalls, partitions and many more surfaces.  It removes 80 times more bacteria than standard wipes and cloths.

KaiWipes™ can be used wet or dry to quickly clean critical touch points and irregular surfaces with the pull of a disposable wipe.  Each new wipe is fresh, unlike towels and rags which can accumulate more and more soil and disease-causing bacteria over continual use. KaiWipes are packed dry in the canister allowing users to add their own diluted cleaning solution for maximum flexibility, including EPA-registered disinfectants*, like KaiBosh.

*When using an EPA-registered disinfectant, the EPA-registered disinfectant must have label directions for applying the product with a cloth. When using such an EPA-registered disinfectant, you must follow the directions for use.

ATP Rapid Hygiene Measuring System is a universally recognized tool for quickly measuring the hygiene levels of surfaces in order to ensure consistent sanitation practices as well as public safety.
